Introduction

Is your company getting the visibility it needs to grow?

The right people should be able to find your business — online and in real life. I help restaurants, hotels, venues, destinations, and other place-based businesses show up in front of the audiences that matter most, whether they are searching, scrolling, walking by, or planning their next visit.

Visibility is not about being everywhere. It is about being in the right places with the right story. Through strategic storytelling, original content, media outreach, partnerships, and events, I turn what is already happening inside your business into reasons for people to come through the door.

The approach

Every place has a feeling. The right people should be able to find it.

My approach brings together storytelling, public relations, social media, and partnership thinking to make distinctive places more visible, relevant, and discoverable. I start by understanding what makes a place feel special — its atmosphere, people, details, experiences, and stories — then find the most compelling ways to bring that feeling to life.

That might mean social content, a media story, a strategic partnership, a seasonal opportunity, or simply making sure your place is showing up in the right places online. Because the goal isn’t simply to be seen. It’s to be seen by the right people — and make them want to come through the door.

About

Meet Lisa Mabe

I founded Green Purse in 2010 and have worked across public relations, strategic communications, consumer marketing, partnerships, events, retail, hospitality, food, agriculture, and purpose-driven business.

My work has always centered on visibility: identifying the stories worth telling, finding the right way to tell them, and helping them reach the people who matter.

Today, I partner personally with a select group of businesses that benefit from consistent social storytelling, beautiful original content, thoughtful public relations, and a senior communications perspective.

I am based in the Washington, D.C. area and especially enjoy working with place-based businesses that create memorable places, experiences, products, and reasons for people to gather.

A human lens for stories that stop the scroll.

Green Purse finds the stories and spaces that make people want to show up for themselves. A new dish, a seasonal detail, a quiet corner that suddenly feels like a destination—those moments are everywhere when you know how to look for them.

With a background in consumer research, I think through the eyes of the guest, shopper, visitor, and local regular. My eye is drawn to beauty and intention: light, texture, mood, and the small cues that make someone pause and feel invited in.

In a time of AI, the human touch matters more than ever. While we may use a few tools for support, we never hand content creation over to machines. Every story, caption, and image is shaped by real attention—real content, real voices, real perspective.
